I never planned to sell my home of 23 years that summer (2021). Our master plan was to get ready to sell in two years. We had a list of fix-up projects and planned to enter the market shiny and ready in 2023.
Then, I had a casual call with a friend and local Realtor, Wendy Maddocks, and we discussed the current state of the real estate market and how it was a seller’s market. After discussing it with my husband, we decided to list our home for sale.
We met with Wendy and explained that although we had a very tight timeline, we wanted to list the property with her. We signed the paperwork, and she instantly got to work. She helped us through every step of the process: from staging and open houses to providing us with neutral but critical information that helped us make the best decisions for our family.
In just five days, our home was sold with multiple offers! Wendy clearly explained each offer, giving us the pros and cons of each one, and guided us through escrow calmly and ethically.
Once that was complete, she set to work finding us a new home—all within our tight deadline. I can’t imagine doing this with anyone but Wendy Maddocks. She not only sold our home, but she did it with warmth, good humor, and expertise.
